Your flaws are what will make you famous.
Charlie Rocket wants you to stop putting off success because you’re not perfect. You need to hold yourself accountable to pursue what you want — because no one else will.
If you don’t know Charlie Rocket (or just @Charlie on IG), you’ve certainly heard of the artists he promotes. Listen in as he swaps stories with Brad about the struggles of starting up in his mom’s basement not once, but three times, and the lessons they’ve both learned when making themselves get back up again.
- You need someone to keep it real. If you want to be surrounded by a bunch of yes men, you’re going to fail.
- Understand the value in Mom-status-marketing. Take a stranger and move them closer to you bit by bit. Learn their first name. Keep reaching out. Put in the extra effort.
- People don’t fear public speaking or taking their shirt off at the beach, they fear judgment. You should care about what other people think of you until it gets to the point that what they think stops you from taking chances.
- Live by the “I-am-you” theory. The things that are wrong with you will make you the biggest in the world. Faking perfection won’t help anyone. Be relatable. Stop being afraid to show your flaws and others will want to build relationships with you.
