Be Bigger & Better Than the Competition.
Dan Fleyshman, the youngest founder of a publicly traded company in history, joins Brad for the 95th episode of Dropping Bombs. How did Dan rocket to success at such an early age?
In high school, worked 3 different jobs to save up money to start a company of his own. Dan leveraged that money to trademark the phrase “Who’s your daddy?” for 300 different products, then licensed it out for 9.5 million to Starter Apparel. After spending a few years selling clothing to department stores, he started a poker site and continued to rake in the cash.
But everything came to a screeching halt when the US government put a ban on online poker. In this Dropping Bombs, you’ll learn how Dan Fleyshman persevered when all his competitors crashed and burned.
Brad and Dan also cover:
- How building trust is the most important aspect of building a business.
- If you believe in your product, not putting all your effort into selling is doing a disservice to your target market.
- That it’s more important to invest in people, not ideas.
- From Bitcoin to startups, why you should stop expecting overnight success.
- How to set up your business for under $1000
- Why it’s important to ask yourself, “What do you want to solve in this world?”
- Why you should become obsessive about studying your competitors and everyone in your space–and how to do it.
In addition, Dan lets Brad in on his trick for getting to know influencers: It’s by throwing kickass parties!
Dropping Bombs listeners have the chance to attend one of Dan Fleyshman’s famous business conferences/rockin’ parties on September 1st at the Hollywood Palladium.
During the day, attendees will hear from 35 titans of industry, from Andy Frisella, Ed Mylett, Cole Hatter, Brad Lea, and plenty more. Twelve will be individual presentations, then panels of five subject matter experts will gather to show their know-how.
Once business wraps up, Dan’s birthday bash begins! The only way you can attend the party is by coming for the entire daytime lineup–and why wouldn’t you want to?
Tickets are $500, but Brad’s offering Bomb Squad members a discount. Just head to www.elevatorbootcamp.com and use the code TRBL to get yours.
