People initially always think that’s the fat on their bodies, which I absolutely can help kill that. But, really it’s those what I call false assumed truths. It’s these beliefs that people form around aging, around why they can’t lose weight, why they can’t start their own business, or get out of debt…. Whatever it is, I help them kill those false truths so they can rewrite their story.

She talks about how the stories we tell ourselves shape unconsciously shape our actions

You might have a thyroid diagnosis. You might be aging, whatever it is that you’re told. But, the problem is the meaning we associate with it. So, if we say we have a thyroid problem now I can’t lose weight, you stopped trying. Or, if you have this belief around it being too late because you’re too old. Then you again, you stop trying. So it’s about changing those belief sets and knowing that it is possible. And that’s a story you told yourself.

All of us are the results of our thoughts and our actions.

All of our thoughts up until this point, every action took made us who we are right now, today. If we change our thoughts and our actions, we become an entirely different person. So, yes, you can cut that old self off and become a new person.

It boils down to choices.

I tell people all the time that I, it’s not about me being mean to you saying that. It’s not that I don’t believe your excuse. I do believe you, I hear your excuse.

What I’m saying is that, by me validating that and saying ‘You’re right, that sucks,’ how is there any hope for growth or improvement? Then I’m keeping you stuck.

So that’s my job as somebody to be your coach, to help break you through that is to not be enrolled in your excuse and to help you find a possibility. Because the second I validate that there is absolutely no chance of breaking through it.
