Jayson went from driving a limousine on weekends to support his young family and his young business to eventually becoming a partner in a second home security business, Power Home Technologies. After seeing another home security entrepreneur, Vivint’s Todd Pedersen, successfully transition into the solar industry, Jayson felt that it made sense for him to make the same move. In 2014, Power Home Technologies rebranded as POWERHOME SOLAR.

In 2020, the company was ranked the seventh residential solar installer in the U.S. by Solar Power World and 255th on Inc. 5000’s list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. In 2019, Jayson was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Emerging Services category, proving that hard work can get you anywhere.
