Brittany Michalchuk started out as a shy wallflower…
I have a very vivid memory of my back up against the concrete wall and I was looking down at this piece of grass because I wanted to pretend like I was looking at something… but really in my peripheral, I was watching the popular kids have fun and laugh and smile and just enjoy life.
Tired of waiting in the sidelines, Brittany put her head down and learned about skills that she needed to get the opportunities that she wanted. She learned about psychology and effective networking to get the stages, the podcast, the clients, and the thriving business that she always desired.
Knowing who to connect with has been a big factor in her success…
And that requires research. One of the best research platforms that you can use is Instagram. So, if you want to get in the right circles, start following the right people and looking at their stories and their wall posts, who they’re connected with because the people that are moving and shaking and doing massive things in the world, hang out with like-minded, successful people. And you can usually find them in the stories.
She spends a lot of time going on Instagram researching the connections she wants to make and learning about them before a networking opportunity comes up.
Brittany also describes how she learned to add value when making a request.
One of the most important questions to ask with somebody that you want to build a good report with is how can I help you achieve your goals? And so, that really puts the conversation in an act of service and then they’re much more likely to let down their guards to build that connection and then figure out what your superpowers are and really leverage those and add an enormous amount of value before you ask for anything.
Using her own superpowers of marketing and defining personal brands, Brittany started to connect other influencers.

Those are eyeballs. You are lucky enough to have people’s attention. Don’t abuse it. Don’t create boring content. Don’t create content that you want to consume. Figure out the psychology of your target demographic and feed them the knowledge that they want.
